Sweet ‘n’ Hot perform in ‘Swing Time in Christchurch’

Sweet ‘n’ Hot were the featured performers at the massive ‘Swing Time in Christchurch’ event put on by the Christchurch City Council for the city’s annual Heritage Week celebrations.

We got to perform surrounded by vintage airplanes at the Christchurch Air Force Museum, and the event was so well attended they ran out of chairs before the show even started and had standing room only in the hangar!

Here’s a fun routine featuring 1920s and 1930s solo and partner Charleston dancing:

And this performance is our tribute to the fabulous Andrews Sisters, including some original choreography danced by the Andrews Sisters themselves in the 1941 movie ‘Buck Privates’:

Sweet ‘n’ Hot in The Eastern ‘Oh Mystery’ music video

Sweet’n'Hot were invited by the fantastic Christchurch-based band The Eastern to dance in their new music video, filmed at the Loons cabaret theatre in Lyttelton.

The video is for the song ‘Oh Mystery!’, and is a fun high-energy tune with a little yee-haw thrown in for good measure.

Sweet’n'Hot dancers Brence and Sharon can be seen in the latter part of the song (about 2 minutes in).

Adam McGrath and Jess Shanks of The Eastern were fantastic to hang out with and two of the nicest people you’ll ever have the good fortune to meet – we hope to have the pleasure of working with them again in future.
